The route

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day 01

   Arrival in Kathmandu

   Briefing, permits, and preparation.

2. Day 02

   Travel to Pokhara

   Drive or fly to Pokhara and rest near Phewa Lake.

3. Day 03

   Travel to Jomsom, Trek to Kagbeni

   Fly or drive to Jomsom, then trek to Kagbeni.

4. Day 04

   Trek to Chele

   Enter the Upper Mustang restricted region and walk through arid valleys.

5. Day 05

   Trek to Syangboche

   Cross passes and traditional villages toward Syangboche.

6. Day 06

   Trek to Ghami

   Continue through open Mustang landscapes to Ghami.

7. Day 07

   Trek to Tsarang

   Visit mani walls and old settlement areas en route to Tsarang.

8. Day 08

   Trek to Lo Manthang

   Reach the historic walled city of Lo Manthang.

9. Day 09

   Explore Lo Manthang

   Visit monasteries, caves, local villages, and palace surroundings.

10. Day 10

    Trek to Dhakmar

    Return by an alternate route through dramatic red cliffs.

11. Day 11

    Trek to Syangboche or Chhusang

    Continue descending through Mustang villages.

12. Day 12

    Trek to Jomsom

    Return via Kagbeni and reach Jomsom.

13. Day 13

    Return to Pokhara

    Fly or drive back to Pokhara.

14. Day 14

    Return to Kathmandu

    Drive or fly to Kathmandu and end the trip.
